Lunar Arachnid
idea: my friend texted me the other day about a scary incident she had when she went to the bathroom in the middle of the night in the nude. as she was sitting on the toilet, she felt something brush again her leg. when she looked down, a shadow cast by her nipple in the moonlight looked like a spider so she panicked and slapped it. this caused her to shriek in both pain and surprise. turn this into a limerick
A friend, in the hush of the night,
Found a terror, a terrible fright.
Nude on the throne,
A shadow was shown,
A moon-spun spider, a dreadful, pale light!
She slapped at the phantom, a scream in the air,
A mix of sharp pain and bewildered despair.
The moon’s cruel design,
A trick so malign,
Left her trembling, lost in a nightmare’s snare.
The echo of terror, a vulnerable plea,
A moment of fear, for all eyes to see.
A simple mishap,
A heart’s fragile trap,
And the lingering ache of what used to be.
